Our
Sunday worship service usually uses a traditional format and includes
a variety of arts, traditions, special events, and surprises so our
services are exciting and glorifying.
We have an
extremely flexible worship space with mobile seating--square, round,
oval, random, in every combination. Rest assured, there are
no
assigned seats in our worship service.
We
share communion at least once per month as part of the worship service.
All believers are welcome to participate in this intimate and joyous
time. World Communion Sunday is an important event for us with bread
and chalices from around the world and, sometimes, the words of the
communion ritual are spoken in
many languages.
Our
congregation sings! We have a choir which meets almost every Wednesday
night for rehersal and sings for almost every Sunday Worship. The
congregation often participates in the choir's special music. Our
congregations loves the old standard hyms but we also love the new
modern and international hymns.
We
invite and encourage children to attend worship and try to include the
youth in worship every Sunday. The youth serve as liturgists,
candlelighters, and bell-ringers. The youth also have a children's
moment, a segment of the service dedicated especially to them.
After the Children's moment, the children pass among members
of
the congregation and gather food for the food bank.
In
addition to the special Sundays of Easter, Christmas, Pentecost, and
Thanksgiving,
we have other special Sundays with liturgical dance, singing services,
musical artists. Some of our other special events include the hanging
of the greens for Advent and Christmas and the Maundy Thursday service
during Holy Week.
